Why are we like this?

Why is it that we are so proud of our centuries old culture, present it with glory, respect it, celebrate it, and yet when it comes to LGBTQ we all turn a bit hesitant?

Why is it that we boast about having large families and specific names for far fetched relatives but as soon as someone is tagged as lesbian or gay, families disown us?

Why do we as siblings say, “you CANNOT be like this, coz I’ve known you personally since ages.. ” when you open up about your gender and/or sexuality?

Why is it that friends act all cool and funky, smart and nerdy, but still in this decade, trans folks are looked upon as a taboo?

Why is it that we humans look at it through society’s perspective, family’s perspective, through marriage’s perspective, through government’s perspective, but fail to look into the perspectives of that person WHO HAS TO LIVE IN THAT BODY AND BE WHO THEY ARE, AS THEY ARE!

Why?

Why are we bloody STILL like this?
